Janet M. G. Ackerman is the founder of Global Dance Fitness, A Worldwide Wellness and Fitness Entertainment Company represeting and bringing the market several Global Fitness and Wellness programs including Zumba.  She is an accomplished professional of more than 20 years in the fitness entertainment industry and global business and has an infectious entrepreneurial spirit and expertise in identifying new markets and launching high quality unique programs across multi-cultural environments.

 

Janet has been a licensed Zumba® Fitness instructor, ZIN™ 165 for over 10 years and is the Zumba ZIN™ Community Council representative (Zcom) for Georgia, Alabama, Florida and 20 Caribbean countries.  Janet was trained by Beto Perez, the creator of Zumba in one of the first trainings and she then worked with the Zumba CEO and management team Alberto Perlman and Alberto Aghion to provide field information and international business tactics, which are still found in the Zumba brand and product solution today. Early on in her Zumba career, Janet created ZumbaAtlanta.com for the purpose of grass roots marketing, local instructor communication and event development to provide fun and effective fitness entertainment events and classes while helping to foster the development of Zumba in Georgia and around the world.  Today it is known for its high quality instruction and event delivery. Ms. Ackerman is an International Presenter, Global Fitness Educator and Master Trainer Candidate with several national and international certifications in instructing, educating, and motivating clients to achieve healthier lifestyles including AFAA, all Zumba® Fitness programs, Body Training Systems, and Personal Training just to name a few.  Janet has presented or instructed throughout the US and in Chile, Mexico, India, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong with her largest crowd of over 5,000 people. Janet has a Masters of Global Business from Thunderbird, and a Bachelors of Business from Bowling Green State University.
